Playing CurseForge modpacks with your friends has never been this easy!

Step 1: Installing a modpack

1. Open the CurseForge app
2. Press the Browse tab
3. Find your favourite modpack from the list and click Install

Step 2: Enable content management

1. Go to the My Modpacks tab
2. Click on the icon of the modpack
3. Open the three dot menu ⋮ next to the play button
4. Select Profile Options
5. Ensure that the option called Allow content management for this profile is enabled

Step 3: Add Essential

1. Go to the My Modpacks tab
2. Click on the icon of the modpack
3. Go to the Content tab
4. Press the Add More Content button
5. Search for ESSENTIAL mod and press install on the mod with the ? icon

Remove any custom main menu mods

To ensure Essential functions correctly, we recommend removing any custom main menu mods.

1. Go to the My Modpacks tab
2. Click on the icon of the modpack
3. Navigate to the Content tab.
4. Disable the following mods:
   • Fancymenu
   • Custom Main Menu
   • Packmenu
   • Drippy Loading Screen
   • Audio Extension for FancyMenu (fm_audio_extension)
   • Luna
