Who is Spark Universe?
Spark Universe is a group of passionate and creative minds focused on developing unique content in the world of Minecraft. Since our inception in 2017, we've evolved from a close-knit group of friends creating content for Minecraft into a globally recognized organization. We take immense pride in the quality and impact of our work across both versions of Minecraft.
Among our notable projects are the official Minecraft SpongeBob DLC, the YouTube “One Trillion Views” Minecraft animation video, the Twitch Rivals Lando Norris Invitational event, and the Minecraft Star Wars: Path of the Jedi DLC. Each project reflects our commitment to excellence and innovation in the Minecraft community.
Our growth from a group of friends to an established organization with employees worldwide has enabled us to undertake larger projects, bringing with it a greater sense of responsibility that we embrace wholeheartedly.

Vision for Essential
In 2020, the idea for the Essential was born — a Minecraft mod designed to enhance the Minecraft Java edition experience with quality of life, accessibility, and social features. During the concept phase, we discovered ModCore, a project with similar objectives developed by modders from the Hypixel community. This discovery led us to integrate the ModCore team into Spark Universe, culminating in the creation of Essential.
With Essential, our objectives are:
- Make playing Minecraft with friends easier than ever before
- Connect players and help them create enduring friendships
- Enhance Minecraft's overall usability for casual and pro players
- Expand on player’s self-expression, with high-quality character customization
At the heart of our efforts is a commitment to enhancing the Minecraft modding ecosystem as a whole, contributing to its diversity and vibrancy. Through Essential, we're not just enhancing a game; we're creating a community ??
